OTJIRUSE HUNTING

Translated from the native Herero language, "Otjiruse" means 'The Place of Trees'. The farm is situated 55 km west of Okahandja along the Sney River with some of the largest Anatrees in Namibia.


At the turn of the century the farm-house was a small missionary church. The hunting area covers 8400ha.


Enjoy hunting opportunities on:

  • Leopard
in an impressive, scenic African landscape.

Other species are offered on other hunting farm consessions.

2 Hunters US$ 480,-- (2:1) ( US$ 240 per hunter)
Accompanying person US$ 116,--
Non-hunting days US$ 116,--
Transfer to and from Airport/Hunting Areas: free of charge
Hire of Rifle US$   30,-- per hunting day plus ammo
Hunting Permit US$     6,--
Emergency Evacuation Insurance US$   25,-- per hunter per stay

  • Daily Hunting Rates include full board and lodging, laundry service and guided hunt .
  • Alcoholic & Carbonised Drinks will be charged separately.
  • Minimum booking days for a hunter are 3 days.

    Baboon (Cape or Full Mount) US$   500,--
    Caracal US$   360,--
    Leopard US$ 3200,--
    Cheetah US$ 2500,--
    Species offered in the Kalahari:
    Springbuck US$   490,--
    Blesbuck US$   600,--
    Other species on request



  • Wounded game is regarded as dead and the full price will be charged to the hunters account.
  • Trophy fees include the field preparation of trophies. Taxidermy and Shipment fees are for the account of the hunter.
  • Rates are subject to change.

    A non-refundable deposit, depending on the length of stay, is payable when booking.
    Our clients are advised to take out a cancellation- and personal accident insurance.
    We wish to inform our clients that we cannot be held responsible /liable for any loss, damage , accidents or injuries which may occur during their stay at Otjiruse Hunting.
