A hearty Welcome to The Sea Horse from the Kirchhof family!

Our little family consists of Eva, Alfredo, our daughter Cara, two adopted dogs and a blind cat. We have been to many lovely places but when we first visited Swakopmund we understood the meaning of "love at first sight".

Namibia - and especially Swakopmund -far exceeded our expectations and this fascination still holds after 12 years.

Living in harmony with nature combined with an excellent infrastructure allows us a happy and satisfied life. Opening our guesthouse near the beach was a dream come true. Our 15 year old daughter attends a very good German school and can live her passion for nature and horses.

Alfredo is locally known as "Küstenmusikant" , the musician at the coast. When he performs in hotels or at parties he usually quotes from the old traditional Südwester Lied "we love South West" as it was called before independence. Both, Cara and her horse "Champagne" enjoy the thrilling experience of long rides into the unspoiled Namib desert.
