Travellers on their way to southern Namibia have the 'company' of Brukkaros for more than a hundred kilometres. For hikers, nature-lovers and those with a craving for endless vistas there is a camping site on the slope of the huge crater which resembles a volcano...
A night (or day) on the slopes of the Brukkaros Mountain will leave you with memories of vast plains, distant horizons, glorious sunsets and a magical starlit sky. Brukkaros towers over the plains of southern Namibia like a sentinel - the views which it offers are simply amazing. Depending on your physical fitness you can take a shorter or a longer walk up the slopes and to the crater of this volcano-like mountain. Brukkaros has a unique ecological system with rare plants and animals which do not occur anywhere else in the vicinity. Brukkaros Campsite consists of five individual sites. Two of them are situated at the foot of the mountain. The other three are higher upon the slopeand can only be reached with a 4x4 vehicle. Each site is shaded and has a wind shelter, fireplace, bush shower and toilet. As there is no running water at the mountain, please bring your own water for consumption and hygiene (you can stock up at Berseba, 12km away). Please note that fuel is not available at the camp site either. Prices Camping - N$ 35.00 per person per night Location Next to Brukkaros, about 80km northwest of Keetmanshoop How to get there At Tses you turn from the B1 main road onto the D3901 gravel road to Berseba.
