ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK
This is one of the largest game reserves in the world and famous for its abundant wild life. Open throughout the year. No pets allowed. The following are strictly prohibited: motor cycles, persons travelling on open vehicles or open loading bays, leaving indicated roads, leaving a vehicle, pellet guns, catapults or unsealed firearms, disturbance of game. No hitch hikers. All three camps have a shop, restaurant, swimming pool, mail facilities, fuel and fire wood. No banking facilities.

Gates at entry points and at the resorts are open from sunrise to sunset. As the resort must be reached befor sunset, the necessary travelling times between resorts and/or gates (speed limit in the Park: 60km/h) must be considered. The distance between Halali and Namutoni or Okaukuejo is in both cases about 70 km. Day visitors have to leave the park before sunset. Once having entered the park, fees (not included in paid-up reservations) must be paid at Namutoni or Okaukuejo first before proceeding through the park.

Namutoni: At the centre of the Resort is the Namutoni Fort, erected during German colonial times, as a police station and veterinary control point.
