Entry to this area between Swakopmund and Ugab River (the
southern border of the Skeleton Coast Park) is not controlled
and free of charge. Vehicles only permitted on public and
indicated roads. Sea angling is free, but there are limitations
on allowable catch (consult the Swakopmund tourist office or
the Central Reservations Office in Windhoek for more details).
Camping only permissible at the designated camping sites
listed below.
Camping site with only basic amenties (toilets, showers) are
available at these four resorts. Visitors have to provide
their own camping equipment, food and firewood. Limited
shopping facilities are only provided during the festive
seasons (December/January school holidays) at Mile 14 and
throughout the year at the other three camping sites. Fuel
is available at Mile 108. Banking facilities available at
Swakopmund and Henties Bay. Bookings through the Central
Reservations Office in Windhoek.
