There are a number of ways that you can support CLaSH. We
very much rely upon the financial and non-financial support of individuals
and organisations to allow us to operate. Any help you can offer would be welcomed.
The following are some suggestions but if you have an idea of your own
or would like to find out more, CLaSH would love to
hear from you.
Membership - CLaSH has a membership scheme. In exchange
for a small annual fee you will receive quarterly copies of the
CLaSH newsletter (available by e-mail) and be able
to keep up to date with our activities.
Financial Donations - CLaSH is dependent on donations
to enable it to carry out almost all of the work that it does. If you
would like to support CLaSH generally or prefer to support
one of its specific projects we would be very grateful for your contribution.
Bursaries - CLaSH will happily organise for you to sponsor
a deaf or hard-of-hearing child during their studies at one of Namibia's
special schools or kindergartens. As little as 20 Euro per month will not
only cover school and hostel fees but also allows for a contribution
towards school uniform and class outings.
Volunteers - If you are based in Namibia and have some
time to spare you could consider actively supporting CLaSH.
At different times during the year CLaSH runs a range of
projects where an extra pair of hands would be welcomed and where you
could help.
The CLaSH Calendar - Each year CLaSH
commissions a special, high quality calendar with photographs of children
at the CLaSH pre-school taken by Helge Denker, a renowned
Namibian artist and photographer. It is possible to buy copies of the
calendar individually, so if you would like one please get in touch. You
might also wish to consider grouping together with some friends and buy a
few to save on postage and packing. Alternatively you could even sell
them in your area as a fundraiser on CLaSH's behalf.
Material Donations - CLaSH actively seeks supplies of
new and reconditioned hearing aids and batteries to go with them.
