Generally Notes, valid for all hunts in Tanzania :

The prices include generally :
  • A suitable concession in Selous and Masailand
  • Camp accommodation in classic eastafrican styled tented camps; tents have an additional part with water closet and shower
  • All camp and catering staff-services including daily laundry services
  • Full equipped hunting vehicle and driver
  • A Professional Hunter with qualified trackers
  • A person to meet to facilitate customs procedures regarding import/export of firearms and ammunition, arrival and departure
  • All relevant hunting permits and firearm permit for 1 rifle; additional rifles will be charged with US $ 200.-a rifle.
  • All government trophy handling documents and fees, conservations fees, (delay charter), airport taxes, ammunition taxes etc. as necessary
  • All field preparations of hunting trophies, dipping , crating and packing costs and delivery of trophies to shipping agents in DarEs Salaam
The prices excludes generally :
  • Flights from Europe
  • Trophy fees like shown in the Trophy List of the Government of Tanzania
    For 2008, taken or wounded, and 10% community development fees on top of all animals taken or wounded
  • Hotel accommodation before, during and after the hunt
  • Airport transfers
  • Transport of the trophies from darEsSalaam to their home destination
  • Transfers from DarEsSalaam to Kynjanguru
Daily Rates for Observer = US $ 300.--

The client will be responsible for paying 50 % of the safari to secure the dates after the agreement has been signed and agreed upon.

For those hunts generally is a need of aircharters;all the charters are included in these prices.

Generally notes :

The government of Tanzania increased for the coming season the fees for the trophies as well as for the concessions.
Already before, in the past times, some of the outfitters and hunting companies used to have their own trophy fees; often there were taken very much higher fees than the official trophy list did show.
So the government also increased the trophy fees to take better part of the output of its efforts for Wildlife in Tanzania. I think, that's just normal !

If You compare the trophy fees of some of the hunting companies, offered to the hunters in the past, the actual corrected prices of the government are not really very high. The low rate of the US-Dollar as an income out of the hunts in Tanzania on one side, and the high rate of the currencies of the countries, the hunters coming out of (beside the USA) on the other side, also let look the increasing of the prices better.
Me and my outfitter had to follow the increasing prices, but in a good way, I think. We wont increase the trophy fees of the government, not now and not in the future.

My personal meaning: The actual trophy fees for Buffaloes will help, to stabilize the structure of the herds of buffaloes; in the future it will be easier again, to harvest really good and old trophies.
