Fourteen years ago Friedolf and Barbara Sturm started off with organizing tailor-made self-drive safaris and arranging various tours within Namibia and to neighbouring countries. The first motto of the company was offering expert service, keeping it up and improving wherever possible. With this motto, the company grew fast and became one of the top leading privately owned tour-operations in Namibia offering a wide spectrum of tours.

Scheduled safaris on a weekly basis are conducted in VW Microbus or 8-seater Landrover leading with expert guidance to the highlights of Namibia. African Extravaganza is the pioneer in offering a shuttle service from Windhoek or Swakopmund to the company’s own upmarket Lodge in the desert, the Namib Naukluft Lodge, and including an excursion to the famous dunes at Sossusvlei.

Special interest groups are accommodated by privately guided Charter Tours per bus or in the comfortable Cessna 310, a twinengined aircraft, one of the many investments African Extravaganza found necessary in order to please the increasing demands of the valued customers.
